Buying a Business

When looking for your new business in Spain, you can either browse through the bars, restaurants shops and other businesses shown on the website or we can act on your behalf to identify businesses that meet your needs.

We do not show all of the available businesses on our site for reasons of confidentiality but if these match your requirements we can provide you with details.

We recommend an inspection visit to view the opportunities available and to understand the market and the Spanish lifestyle. We are happy to work with you to set up a shortlist of potential businesses so that you can make the most of your time in Spain.

When you decide to make an offer for a business the process is as follows

We negotiate on your behalf to reach an agreed final purchase price.
When the offer is accepted you sign a pre-contract agreement which secures the business.
At this time you pay a deposit, 10% of the agreed purchase price.
We then bring together all the paperwork required from the seller and introduce you to a reliable Lawyer or Gestor.
Contracts for the business sale are then drawn up and signed and a completion date is agreed.
We help you open a bank account and register both you and your new business with accountants and tax offices etc.
The lawyer obtains a new lease for you and checks this together with all other required paperwork. Searches are also completed to ensure no outstanding debts or charges against the business. You should then go through the lease details with the lawyer to confirm your understanding and that you are happy to sign the lease.
On the agreed day of completion, together we will meet with the seller, the landlord and the lawyer. You will then sign your new lease with the landlord and make the balancing payment to the owner, you then get the keys to your new business.
